More and more sanctions are being imposed on gambling companies in Ukraine
The President of Ukraine signed a decision on sanctions against some Russian betting shops and individuals. The list of companies subject to sanctions includes BC Pari, Matchbet, Sportbet, Betsity, Olimp, Marathon and others, as well as “Sportloto” – operator of all-Russian state lotteries. Cypriot firm “Parimatch” also included in the list. The sanctions will last from 5 to 50 years.
In addition, 120 people with Russian, Polish, Armenian, British, Turkish, Cypriot and Dutch citizenship will be on the sanctions list for 50 years. The sanctions include freezing the assets of these individuals on the territory of Ukraine, the inability to participate in the privatization of state property, certain restrictions on the conduct of trade operations and the movement of resources, the suspension of economic and financial obligations, as well as the withdrawal of state awards.
The sanctions are explained by the fact that, according to the head of state, these companies and individuals worked against Ukraine.
At the same time, the Ukrainian company Parimatch, which had an official license to operate in the country, disagrees with the sanctions imposed on it and disputes them, and also claims that the SBU put pressure on the company. UAH 250 million belonging to the players is blocked on the company's accounts, the company said that it is looking for ways to return them to customers.
"Fonbet" paid almost 167 million rubles to players in 2022
According to the annual report of Foncor over the past year, the betting company “Fonbet” earned a net profit of 26 billion rubles on revenue of 220.8 billion rubles.
In addition, 166.9 billion rubles were payments to winning users.
Pari bookmaker earned 38.8 billion rubles in 2022
Last year, the bookmaker was able to receive 38.8 billion rubles. Gross profit amounted to 5.9 billion, of which net – 2 billion rubles. 2.9 billion rubles were spent on commercial expenses, on management – 348.7 million rubles.

At one time, some foreign media suggested that the company was associated with the Russian bookmaker Liga Stavok.
Problems with 1xBet continue
A meeting is scheduled for March 17, at which representatives of the bookmaker will challenge the requirements of the NGO “Mobile Card” to prohibit the work of BC in the Russian Federation. According to the legal representative of the company, “1xBet” has nothing to do with 1xbet, which is banned in Russia, and its organizers, who are on the wanted list.
